The old rule still holds: fish the moving water. We build the classic tide windows for the next 3 days — from 2 h before to 1 h after high, plus the low-water flush — and add a moon-phase note.
Enter your next high tide and press Show fishing windows.
Most coastal predators feed as the tide starts to move and push baitfish against structure. The classic window runs from about 2 hours before high tide to 1 hour after — the tide change. The hour either side of low water is a secondary window as the ebb flushes bait out of channels. Slack water (exact high or low) is usually dead time.
Around new and full moon, tidal ranges are largest, water moves more strongly, and many anglers rate the fishing better. We compute the lunar age from a known new-moon anchor and flag whether you're in a spring-tide fishing spell. It's a tendency, not a guarantee.
