Please read these simple terms before you rely on our tools. Effective 1 October 2026.
By accessing or using Coastal Hiking Tide Planner (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The Site provides free, browser-based planning aids for coastal hiking, camping, tidepooling, fishing, photography and related activities. All tools run locally in your browser; no account is required. The Site is currently free for everyone.
The Site is not a meteorological, hydrographic, maritime or professional safety advisory service. Tide predictions use a simplified model and may differ from official charts. You are solely responsible for checking official local tide tables, weather forecasts, lifeguard advice and on-site warnings, and for deciding whether conditions are safe. The sea is hazardous; if in doubt, turn back. See our full Disclaimer.
The Site’s design, tools, written guides and original copy are the property of Coastal Hiking Tide Planner. Photos are self-hosted under free licences (Unsplash/Pexels). You may not reproduce or commercially republish our written content without permission. You are welcome to link to us — links are always appreciated.
Every tool is free today, and favorites and basic usage are stored locally on your device at no cost. We may introduce an optional paid membership later for advanced features, but the core tide and safety tools will remain free. Any future paid tier will be described clearly before you are asked to pay; nothing here today hides a charge.
We may update, improve or retire tools at any time without notice. The Site is provided “as is”; we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, though we work hard to keep it reliable.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coastal Hiking Tide Planner and its contributors are not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its outputs, including where a tool proves inaccurate. You use the Site at your own risk.
These Terms are provided in English and Chinese; the English version prevails in case of inconsistency. Questions: zjp133@outlook.com.
